Commission agents
An agent earns commission on the sales and repairs they bring in, as a percentage, a fixed amount, a rate per product or a rate per service. Fixmo calculates it as work is booked, tracks what is owed against what has been paid, and reverses it when something is refunded.

What it does
Plenty of repair work arrives through someone else: a shop that does not do repairs, a fixer who knows everybody, a corporate contact. They get paid a cut, and the arithmetic is usually done monthly from memory.
An agent record holds their own details and their company's, along with uploaded documents for each.
The rate is set on the agent and can be overridden on a single transaction. Whichever rate applied is stored on the commission itself, so changing an agent's rate later does not rewrite what they already earned.
Commission is calculated when the sale or repair is created, so the balance owed is current rather than worked out at the end of the month.
Payouts record the amount, the method, a reference and the period they cover, which is what turns a balance into a settled account.

Questions
What if I change an agent's rate?
Commissions already earned keep the rate that applied at the time. The new rate applies from then on.
Can one job have a different rate from the agent's usual?
Yes. Override it on that transaction and the override is what gets stored.
What happens to commission when a customer gets a refund?
It is reversed in proportion to the amount refunded.
Can I pay an agent for a specific month?
Yes. A payout records the period it covers, so partial settlement is unambiguous.
