Customer tracking links

Every repair has a link the customer can open to see its stage, without an account, an app or a password. The link uses a share token rather than anything guessable, and shows the repair code, the item, the current stage and the estimated date.

The public tracking page a customer opens, showing the device, the repair code and the current stage, with no sign-in and no costs.
What the customer sees. No login, no app, and nothing about your costs or internal notes.

What it does

The most common call a repair shop takes is asking whether something is ready. Answering it costs a person their attention several times a day.

The link removes the call. Send it once, and the customer watches the job move from Received to Delivered on their own.

There is nothing to install and nothing to sign into. It opens in a browser.

The page shows the stage, not the shop's internal life. Notes, costs, technician assignments and confidential fields stay inside Fixmo.

The link resolves by share token, so it is not a case of guessing a number and reading somebody else's repair.

Questions

Does the customer need to create an account?

No. They open a link. There is nothing to sign up for.

Can someone see another customer's repair?

The link is addressed by a share token rather than a sequential number, so there is nothing to count through.

What exactly does the customer see?

The repair code, what the item is, which of the eight stages it is at, and the estimated date. Nothing about cost or internal notes.
