Buying
Suppliers
A supplier record holds contact details, tax number, payment terms and notes. Link it to the items you buy from them and each link carries that supplier's own price, their SKU for the part, and their lead time in days.
Free allows 5 suppliers. Pro and Business have no limit.

What it does
Most shops buy the same part from two or three places at different prices. Which one is cheapest this month usually lives in a WhatsApp thread.
Linking a supplier to an item records their price for it, the code they use for it, and how many days they take. The same part can be linked to several suppliers, each with their own numbers.
Payment terms sit on the supplier, so a purchase order from them starts with the right terms rather than the default.
A supplier you stop using is deactivated rather than deleted, which keeps every past order and payment intact.

Questions
Can one part have two suppliers?
Yes, each with their own price, SKU and lead time. That is the point of the link.
What happens to old orders if I remove a supplier?
Deactivate rather than delete. Past purchase orders, receipts and payments stay exactly as they were.
How many suppliers can I have?
Free allows 5. Pro and Business have no limit.
