Make Fixmo Work Your Way

Fixmo offers theme choices, keyboard shortcuts, a global search modal, and the notification bell so you can move through the app quickly.

Switching Between Light and Dark Mode

Both themes are fully supported, including printed documents and email previews. Your preference is saved in your browser.

  1. 1Click the theme toggle in the top header (sun in dark mode, moon in light mode).
  2. 2Pick Light, Dark, or System.
  3. 3The interface updates instantly.
Tip

If you uploaded separate light and dark logos in Settings > Shop, the sidebar logo switches automatically to match.

The fastest way to find anything in Fixmo.

  1. 1Press Cmd+K (Mac), Ctrl+K (Windows), or '/' from any page.
  2. 2Start typing a repair code, customer name, serial number, SKU, supplier name, PO number, invoice code, agent name, or team member name.
  3. 3Results appear instantly, grouped by type — serials first, then repairs, customers, items, agents, suppliers, POs, team, sales, documents, and refunds.
  4. 4Click a result to navigate. Press Escape to close.

Notifications

The bell icon in the header opens your notification list. Types include plan limit warnings, new repair, low stock, repair overdue, payment received, team joined, PO status changes, PO payment due, document approved/rejected, invoice overdue, payment reminder, refund created, and refund processed.

  • Click the bell to open the list.
  • Click an item to jump to the linked record.
  • Click 'Mark all read' to clear the badge.

The sidebar shows only entries for your role.

  • Groups with children (Invoicing, Finance, Suppliers, Settings) expand when clicked
  • On mobile the sidebar collapses and a bottom navigation bar appears
  • The upgrade CTA appears for Admins on Free or Pro plans

  • Click a Dashboard status card to jump straight to Repairs filtered by that status
  • Use 'View all' links on widgets to open full pages
  • POS has a full-screen layout with keyboard hotkeys F1–F4
  • Your browser back button works normally — no lost state

Does Fixmo have a dark mode?+
Yes. Light, Dark, and System themes. Click the sun/moon icon in the top header to pick one. Your preference is saved per browser.
What keyboard shortcuts does Fixmo have?+
Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) or '/' to open global search. In POS, F1 opens product search, F2 opens the customer picker, F3 focuses the barcode field, and F4 opens the checkout drawer.
What can I search for in global search?+
Global search spans serial numbers, repairs (code/item/problem/customer), customers (name/phone/email), inventory items (name/SKU/barcode/variant), commission agents, suppliers, purchase orders, team members, sales, documents (invoices/quotations/credit notes/receipts), and refunds. Scope is role-aware.
How does the notification bell work?+
The bell in the header shows an unread count. Click to view alerts: plan-usage warnings, PO status changes, document approvals, invoice overdue, refund events, low-stock alerts, new repairs, payment received, team joins, and more.
