WhatsApp Business Integration Overview

Fixmo connects to WhatsApp Business via the official Meta WhatsApp Cloud API. Each shop connects its own WhatsApp Business number through a 3-click Embedded Signup flow — no developer console, no copy-pasting tokens. Customers receive messages from your shop's verified WhatsApp Business number with your display name. Available on PRO and BUSINESS plans.

What WhatsApp Integration Includes

Once connected, all outbound WhatsApp messages are controlled by the toggles in Settings > Messages.

  • Repair status notifications — per-toggle for all 8 stages: Received, Diagnosing, Waiting Parts, Repairing, Testing, Ready, Delivered, Cancelled
  • Status reversal notifications — when an admin reverses a repair to an earlier stage
  • Sale receipts — sent on sale completion with total and receipt code
  • Sale refund notifications — sent when a refund is processed
  • Invoice & quotation links — sent when a document is issued
  • Payment reminders — sent for outstanding invoices
  • Message history — every message logged with sent/failed status and error details

How the Integration Works

Fixmo uses Meta Embedded Signup — the same official onboarding flow used by HubSpot, Shopify, and Zoho. Your shop's WhatsApp Business Account lives under your own Meta Business Manager, not Fixmo's. Fixmo only sends messages on your behalf using your connected number.

  • Click Connect in Settings > Messages
  • Meta's secure popup opens — log in to your Facebook account
  • Select or create your WhatsApp Business Account and phone number
  • Grant Fixmo permission to send messages
  • Done — your number is connected and notifications are ready to configure
Note

You need a phone number dedicated to WhatsApp Business (it cannot be active on the regular WhatsApp app). Meta charges per outbound conversation, billed to your Meta account. Fixmo does not mark up or rebill these charges.

Plan Requirements

WhatsApp notifications are available on PRO and BUSINESS plans. Free plan shops see an upgrade prompt in Settings > Messages. Upgrading to PRO unlocks WhatsApp at no additional charge from Fixmo.

Tip

Go to Settings > Billing to upgrade your plan. WhatsApp becomes available immediately after upgrade.
