Reports Module Overview

The Reports module gives Admins and Managers a complete view of how the shop is performing. It is organised as an Overview dashboard plus six focused reports — Sales, Repairs, Daily / Z-Report, Inventory, Customers, and Branches. You move between them using the tabs along the top, and a single filter bar controls the date range and branch for all of them, so you never have to re-pick your period when you switch reports.

Note

Managers see branch-scoped data only. Admins see data across all branches and additionally get the Branches comparison report.

Date Range and Branch Filters

The filter bar at the top of every report controls what data is shown. Your selection cascades to whichever report you open, and stays in place as you navigate between them.

  • Period presets — Today, This Week, This Month, Last Month, This Quarter, and This Year
  • Custom Range — pick your own start and end dates for any window you need
  • Branch — Admins can choose All Branches or a single branch (shown when the shop has more than one branch); Managers are locked to their own branch
  • Export CSV — download Repairs List, Revenue Report, or Sales Report spreadsheets from the same bar
Tip

Pick your period and branch once on any report — the Overview, for example — then click through the tabs and every report reflects the same filter.

Reports Run on Your Shop's Timezone

Today, and every daily breakdown in Reports — the Overview trend chart, the Sales and Repairs trend charts, and each row of the Daily / Z-Report — are calculated using your shop's timezone, not the server's. That means Today starts and ends at midnight in your shop's local time, so a sale made just after midnight lands in the right day.

  • Set your timezone explicitly in Settings > Shop > Timezone, right next to the Country field.
  • If you haven't set one, Fixmo derives it automatically from your shop's Country when that country has a single timezone (e.g. Sri Lanka → Asia/Colombo).
  • For countries that span multiple timezones, choose yours from the Timezone dropdown — it only lists zones for the Country you've selected.
Tip

If Today's numbers ever look off by a few hours around midnight, check that your shop's Country and Timezone are set correctly in Settings > Shop.

Overview Stat Cards

The Overview page opens with six key metrics for the selected period. Each revenue and count card shows a percentage change against the preceding period of equal length, with a green up arrow for growth or a red down arrow for a decline.

  • Total Revenue — combined repair and product-sales revenue for the period
  • Repair Revenue — payments collected on repairs, versus the previous period
  • Sales Revenue — product-sales revenue, versus the previous period
  • Repairs Completed — repairs marked Delivered, versus the previous period
  • Product Sales — number of completed sale transactions, versus the previous period
  • New Customers — customers added during the period, versus the previous period

Overview Charts

Below the stat cards, the Overview visualises where revenue comes from and who is driving it.

  • Revenue Trend — a daily area chart layering repair revenue and sales revenue across the period
  • Revenue Split — a donut showing the share of revenue from repairs versus product sales
  • Technician Performance — your team ranked by revenue collected, with repair counts
  • Top Items Serviced — the most frequently repaired items as a bar chart

The Detailed Reports

From the Overview you can jump into any of the dedicated reports, each focused on one part of the business.

  • Sales — revenue trend, top products with profit margin, revenue by category, and sales by channel
  • Repairs — repair revenue trend, repairs by status, technician leaderboard, and turnaround time
  • Daily / Z-Report — collections by payment method, daily breakdown, a profit-and-loss statement, and refunds by reason
  • Inventory — stock valuation, low-stock alerts, dead-stock, and stock value by category
  • Customers — new vs returning, repeat rate, lifetime value, and top customers
  • Price Overrides — every line sold at a price different from the catalog price, with who changed it, when, and the impact on revenue
  • Branches — a side-by-side comparison of every location (Admins only)

AI Insights (Coming Soon)

The Overview includes a placeholder for AI Insights. Once live, it will use Fixmo's built-in AI assistant to turn your numbers into plain-language summaries, flag unusual changes, and suggest actions — so you do not have to read every chart to know what changed.

Note

AI Insights is marked Coming Soon in the interface and will be enabled in a future update.

Who Can Access Reports

Access to the Reports module is controlled by the canAccessReports permission, which is granted to Admin and Manager roles only.

  • Admin — full access to all reports across all branches, including Branches comparison
  • Manager — access to reports scoped to their assigned branch (no Branches comparison)
  • Technician — no access to Reports
  • Cashier — no access to Reports

Frequently Asked Questions

What reports does Fixmo provide?+
The Reports module has an Overview dashboard plus six dedicated reports: Sales (products, profit margin, categories, channels), Repairs (revenue, status, technician performance, turnaround time), Daily / Z-Report (collections by payment method, profit and loss, refunds), Inventory (stock valuation, low stock, dead stock), Customers (new vs returning, repeat rate, lifetime value), and Branches (side-by-side location comparison).
Can I change the date range on the Reports page?+
Yes. A filter bar at the top of the Reports module lets you choose a period — Today, This Week, This Month, Last Month, This Quarter, This Year, or a Custom Range with your own start and end dates. The selected period (and branch) applies to every report and stays in place as you move between them.
Can I filter reports by branch in Fixmo?+
Admins can switch between All Branches or a single branch using the branch selector in the filter bar (shown when the shop has more than one branch). Managers always see their own branch only. The branch filter cascades across every report, so Sales, Repairs, Inventory, and the others all update together.
How does the 'vs last period' comparison work?+
Each Overview stat card compares the selected period against the window of equal length immediately before it. For example, This Month is compared against the same number of days just prior, and a green up arrow or red down arrow shows whether the metric grew or declined.
What timezone are 'Today' and the daily charts based on?+
Your shop's timezone, set in Settings > Shop. If you haven't set one explicitly, Fixmo automatically uses the timezone of your shop's Country for countries that only have one (Sri Lanka, for example). This applies to every period preset and every day-by-day breakdown across Reports — the Overview trend, the Sales and Repairs trend charts, and the Daily / Z-Report — so Today always lines up with midnight in your shop's own time, not the server's.
Who can access the Reports module in Fixmo?+
Only Admins and Managers can open Reports. Admins see data across all branches and can use the Branches comparison report; Managers see data scoped to their assigned branch. Technicians and Cashiers do not have access to Reports.
