  2. 2Choose from three options: Classic, Modern, or Compact.
  3. 3The receipt preview updates immediately to show the selected template.
  4. 4Each template shows a brief description to help you choose.
  5. 5Click the 'Print' button to open your browser's print dialog.

Classic Template

The Classic template uses a professional bordered layout with clear section separation. It is the most traditional and formal option.

  • Header — shop logo or name, address, phone number on the left. 'REPAIR JOB' heading and repair code on the right.
  • Customer & Details — two-column grid with a bordered customer box (name, phone, email) and a details box (date, status, branch, technician).
  • Device Section — item name displayed in a gray background bar.
  • Problem Description — bordered box with the full problem text. Internal notes are hidden on print.
  • Parts Table — numbered rows with columns for Part/Item, Qty, Unit Price, and Total. Black header with white text. Shows serial and warranty info if applicable.
  • Services Table — numbered rows with Service name and Price columns.
  • Totals Box — right-aligned summary showing Estimated Price, Parts subtotal, Services subtotal, and bold Total.
  • Signatures — two columns for Customer Signature and Authorized Signature with ruled lines.
  • Footer — centered shop name and repair code.

Modern Template

The Modern template uses a clean, minimal design with less visual clutter. It has a contemporary feel with thin accent lines instead of heavy borders.

  • Top accent bar — a thin colored line across the top of the page.
  • Header — logo/name with inline address and phone. 'REPAIR RECEIPT' label with large repair code and date.
  • Info Row — three-column layout with customer info, repair details (status, branch, technician), and device name. Bordered top and bottom.
  • Problem Description — clean text section.
  • Parts & Services — streamlined tables with minimal borders.
  • Totals — right-aligned with a larger 13px final total.
  • Signatures — two columns with clean spacing.

Compact Template

The Compact template prioritizes paper efficiency with a dense layout. Ideal for shops that want to save on printing costs.

  • Single-line Header — shop name and phone on the left, repair code and date on the right. Everything on one line.
  • Inline Info — customer, status, branch, and technician details in a single line of text.
  • Device & Problem — two-column layout with device name on the left and problem description on the right.
  • Side-by-Side Tables — parts and services tables displayed in two columns instead of stacked, using the full page width.
  • Inline Totals — parts, services, and total shown in a single gray row.
Tip

The Compact template uses a 9px base font and 8mm margins, fitting significantly more content per page than Classic or Modern.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I customize the print templates?+
Fixmo provides three built-in templates: Classic, Modern, and Compact. Each has a distinct layout and style. While you cannot create custom templates, you can choose the one that best fits your shop's brand and workflow.
Do printed receipts include internal notes?+
No. Internal notes are deliberately hidden on printed receipts. They are only visible within the Fixmo dashboard to your team. This ensures sensitive internal information is never shared with customers.
Can I email the receipt to the customer instead of printing?+
The print page is designed for physical printing via your browser's print dialog. You can use your browser's 'Save as PDF' option to generate a PDF and email it manually.
Does the receipt show serial numbers for parts?+
Yes. If a part has serial number tracking, the serial number and warranty expiry date are displayed alongside the part in the parts table on all three templates.
Which template saves the most paper?+
The Compact template is specifically designed to use less paper. It uses a smaller font size (9px base), dense inline layouts, and side-by-side parts and services tables to fit more information on a single page.
