Service Management Overview

The Service Management page lets you create a structured catalog of repair services. Services are the individual tasks you perform (like 'Battery Replacement' or 'Software Update'), and service types are the categories that group them (like 'Hardware Repairs' or 'Software Services'). Only Admins can manage services.

Creating and Managing Service Types

Service types act as categories for your services. Create them first, then assign services to them for an organized catalog.

  • Click the edit icon next to a service type to rename it
  • Click the delete icon to remove a service type (you must remove or reassign all services under it first before deleting)
  • Service types are displayed as collapsible cards on the services page — all collapsed by default, click to expand individually
  1. 1Go to Settings > Services from the sidebar.
  2. 2Click the 'Add Type' button in the header.
  3. 3Enter the type name in the dialog (e.g., 'Hardware Repairs', 'Software Services', 'Diagnostics').
  4. 4Click 'Add Service Type' to create the type.

How to Add Services

Individual services represent the actual repair tasks your shop offers, each with a name and a default price.

  1. 1In Settings > Services, click 'Add Service'.
  2. 2Enter the service name (e.g., 'iPhone Screen Replacement', 'Battery Test', 'Data Recovery').
  3. 3Enter the default price for the service.
  4. 4Optionally, assign the service to a service type from the dropdown (defaults to 'General (uncategorized)').
  5. 5Click 'Add Service' to add the service to your catalog.
Tip

When you add a service to a repair, the default price auto-fills. You can override the price for any individual repair without changing the catalog price.

How Services Are Displayed

Services on the settings page are grouped into collapsible cards by their service type. All cards are collapsed by default when you visit the page, keeping the layout clean. Each card expands and collapses independently — you can have multiple cards open at the same time.

  • All service type cards are collapsed by default when you open the page
  • Click any card header to expand it and view the services inside
  • Each card expands and collapses independently of other cards
  • Services assigned to a type appear under that type's card
  • Services without a type appear in a 'General Services' section
  • Each service shows its name, price, and edit/delete controls

Editing and Deleting Services

You can update a service's name, price, or assigned type at any time. Services that are currently in use by repairs cannot be deleted — the delete icon only appears on unused services.

  1. 1Hover over any service row to reveal the edit and delete icons.
  2. 2Click the edit icon to modify its name, price, or type.
  3. 3Click 'Save Changes' to apply.
  4. 4Click the delete icon (only visible on services with zero usage) to permanently remove a service from the catalog.
