Where to Find It

Open Settings and choose POS. People who can edit shop settings can change these; anyone else who can open Settings sees them read-only.

Apply the Sale Price Automatically

This switch decides how an item on Sale / Promotion goes onto a bill. It is off to start with.

  • Off: the line starts at the regular price. The sale shows on the line, and staff tap it to apply the sale price.
  • On: the line starts at the sale price, with the regular price struck through. Staff can tap it to go back to the regular price.

Note

It applies to the POS, invoices, quotations and repair parts. Web prices have their own switch, below.

Show Web Prices at the Counter

For a shop whose Website Sync is connected. When this is on, a line for an item with its own web price shows that price, and the web sale price while a web sale runs. Staff tap one to bill the line at it, for a customer who saw the price on your website. It is off to start with.

  • Only items your website lists show a web price. An item without one shows nothing extra, because your website charges its normal price.
  • Anyone who can sell can use it. It is not a price override, so it does not appear in Reports → Overrides.
  • Fixmo checks the web price again when the bill is saved. If it has changed, staff choose it again.
  • Typing the web price into the price box by hand is still a price override.

Note

With it off, web prices stay on your website, and the item details in the POS do not show them.

What the Customer Sees on the Bill

A line sold at the sale price shows the regular price struck through, and the totals end with a You saved line: what the sale took off the regular prices. A line sold at a web price says Web price instead, with no price struck through. Discounts are shown as before. This appears on POS receipts, invoices, quotations and repair bills, printed or as a PDF.

Allow Negative Stock

When on, an item can be sold at zero stock. Fixmo records each piece sold past zero and covers it when new stock arrives. It applies to the POS, invoices, exchanges and repair parts. Website orders never oversell.

Exchange Window

The most days after a sale that an item exchange is allowed. Leave it blank for no limit.

Frequently asked questions

Switch it on if every customer should get the sale price. Leave it off if staff should decide, for example to give the sale only to a customer who asks for it.

No. The sale price and the regular price are both catalogue prices. A cashier can use either, and neither appears in Reports → Overrides.

Yes, if you switch on Show web prices at the counter. It needs Website Sync. Staff can then tap the web price on a line for a customer who saw it online. It is not a price override, and the bill marks the line Web price.

Both moved to Settings → POS. Allow negative stock used to be in Settings → Inventory, and the exchange window in Settings → Shop. They work as before.
